University of Bradford
With over 50 years of academic excellence, the University of Bradford is committed to making a difference and to driving sustainable social and economic development through outstanding teaching, research and innovation.
Our academic and industry experts are shaping the future of their sectors and our students gain the skills and experiences they need to go out and make their mark on the world.
We research and innovate with a wide range of partners including industry, small to medium sized enterprises, governments, charities and health services. Our researchers undertake internationally leading, interdisciplinary research and innovation which has a local and global impact. For example, our research is contributing to the preservation and management of the world’s heritage and our renowned Wolfson Centre for Applied Health Research is bringing together health professionals with researchers to improve the health and wellbeing of people in Bradford and the wider Yorkshire region.
As the UK’s named University of the Year for Social Inclusion in 2020, we have an outstanding track record of supporting students from diverse backgrounds to maximise their talents and achieve positive academic and employment outcomes. We have excellent degree outcomes, with more than eight in every ten students graduating with a first or 2:1, and outstanding job prospects.
The University plays a major role in the education, skills development and social mobility of the Leeds City Region. A large proportion of our students come from local communities with 72% of our graduates progressing into employment in the region. Key graduate employment sectors include health and social care, engineering and manufacturing, public services and finance.
